ECIS Webinar Announcement
Topic: Real-time Electroporation and Monitoring
Date: Tuesday, September 8, 2009

Time: 11:00 AM ESDT

electroporation
ECIS can be used to electroporate cells and then immediately follow resulting cell changes in real-time. By subjecting cells to a short voltage pulse, their plasma membranes are reversibly porated allowing the introduction of membrane impermeable compounds (i.e. DNA) into the cytoplasm. This disruption of the membrane integrity is quickly repaired, so the cells recover and can then be studied via ECIS.
