Do you miss the pointed truth of the convoluted brain holding you in your very own self constructed box with dead stuff? Erwin Rudolf Josef Alexander Schrödinger

Just think creatively: If you are aware of your skin sending information about its condition to your brain then you have some idea of the flood of thoughts that bombard your information gathering central office every second. It is comical the amount of information all sent on information chemicals in lieu of paper. But the confusion and trash do pile up. Your brain could very well be a horders paradise, not just the baggage from all your careers, complications, and lovers. You have the 85 messages a second from every part of your body including the booty call switchboard.

Is the stuff in between your ears alive or dead? You can’t really tell until you look it over. Hense the  Schrödinger reference. Here I posit you to wonder at what state of virility, vitality. vim and vigor, is the animal housed on your neck?

I propose that sitting still and allowing the thoughts to move in the wind of your energetic flow is a good start. A Crawling start is to fill your belly up with air and push it out your mouth. Then when the garbling thoughts come marching forward you are sitting watching your laundry on the line flutter. You do not pay attention to the stuff but let it pass. Think about your belly or your heart.

I like thinking that my heart has lips that the air is actually going in through my ribs and directly into the valves and ventricles in the center of my body. Air in and out in musical flow that allows the heart beat to be the base line in my personal song.

It is the smallest electrical equivalent of each individual personality. My heart started beating before the separation of stem cells that materialized the form I would need to live here in this time and with whatever skills this person needs to express that unique thread in the multi-colored fabric of the our human family.

Most meditation directions to sit and start with reading or following a series of steps such as the page I was sent via a group I subscribe to on my email.  http://www.samharris.org/blog/item/how-to-meditate/

If you want to begin a scheduled time to sit and exercise your self education venue of your personality and the actions your tripple decker Mind, Body, and Emotions, start then energize, I feel you will do fine if you can just sit still and breath.

It is true that allowing the thoughts about everyday life as well as the ‘2 Do list’ to flutter away as you turn your mind to the air.

Choosing a beautiful clean place is very balancing. So much good comes from making the space where you live as a cathedral for your energy to blossom. In fact flowering plants in a pot have more life force than cut flowers. It is true that cut flowers start to decompose as soon as they are cut. Dust and sponge the surfaces, sweep and perhaps wash the floor. This is certainly a wonderful part of the process of clearing your thoughts through the time honored exercising the coincidence of joy after sitting in the concentration point called meditation.

Rather than look for a system I suggest you do what my brother does. He has a three by five card where he blocks out the hours of the day in half hour increments. He tells me this is the way he gets so much done in a day. He sits every morning and every evening. Today he told me he was trying to put a mid day time for what he started in the morning. The act of sitting still and doing the baby steps of training your mind to just focus on the breath filling up your belly, or your heart and labeling anything else that crosses your brain as a Thought and tell it to move on.  I suggest that if you do that so simply every morning and night some magic happens.

Your brain gets exercised internally and feels juiced and ready for life. The focus you need to do  your work will be sustained and supported. And the most amazing part is that the right system and the exactly correct teacher will come to you.

Some day I will tell my long personal story in which this truth of the Teacher coming to meet me when I was ready. It is lovely knowing that the things you do are not lost and collect to magnetize the positive attractiveness with the negatively charged particles.

listen to the blues and love yourself for wanting to start on the road toward self knowledge.

The Ancient Greek aphorism “Know thyself”Greekγνῶθι σεαυτόνgnōthi seauton (also … σαυτόν… sauton with the ε contracted), was inscribed in the pronaos (forecourt) of the Temple of Apollo at Delphi – according to the Greek periegetic (travelogue) writer Pausanias(10.24.1).

The maxim, or aphorism, ‘Know Thyself’ has had a variety of meanings attributed to it in literature. The Suda,  a 10th Century encyclopedia of Greek Knowledge, says: “the proverb is applied to those whose boasts exceed what they are,” and that “know thyself” is a warning to pay no attention to the opinion of the multitude. How cool is this? Know yourself is the real path and you have all the information and tools to start. When you need more information and some kick up, pow! arrives with the flutter and grace of a butterfly.

In Latin, the aphorism is generally given as nosce te ipsum.
