Rewiring the System

Occupy: The Creative Catalyst

I left journalism in 1999 when both editors and writers had directions based on the bottom line of the owners. It is not just Fear, though the spin on the ‘news’ is to brew doubt into calcifying fear so that the killing of humanity from poisoning bees to owning seeds ends our garden of Eden. The Nestles Co. started buying up wells and springs in the late 1960’s and privatizing water starting in 1971. They announced that water is no longer a human right. Who followed that thread?

They are US. We must use Occupy as a creative catalyst and climb out of the demise without blaming the corporations. That is just lazy hateful support for the criminals.

The Clintons fostered the climate which allowed our world wide economic collapse. They wrote the law that opened up the possibilities for derivatives. Clinton announced that what the transportation systems needed was a 4.00$ dollar gallon of gas as the foundation of control. Did you read about those actions or just about his under the desk in the oval office prankster-ness? We reached the global co2 cliff in 1970. No news media or public servant stood up and magnetized for critical mass. Remember the now famous Eisenhower speech?

In his 1961 farewell address to the nation, Eisenhower expressed his concerns about future dangers of massive military spending, especially deficit spending, and coined the term “military-industrial-congressional complex“.

None of the true leaders listened and just followed the money. We are doomed not just because there are no journalists Standing Up, but we are a global community of people living against goodness and working against preserving the beauty of our Big Blue Pearl.

In Bayard Rustin’s Back Pocket

A. Philip Randolph and Bayard Rustin:  Band together! The two men worked to bring civil disobedience, non violent assembly, and public intellectualism, the public intellectual discourse against the halls of Power. From his father, Randolph learned that color was less important than a person’s characterand conduct. From his mother, he learned the importance of education and of defending oneself physically against those who would seek to hurt one or one’s family, if necessary. Randolph remembered vividly the night his mother sat in the front room of their house with a loaded shotgun across her lap, while his father tucked a pistol under his coat and went off to prevent a mob from lynching a man at the local county jail.

IMG_20130811_215904

Can you find any people rising up to become leaders with such strong intuition and usefulness to humanity, as a whole society, in our current time of Tyranny as Mr. Rustin and Mr. Randolph?

IMG_20130811_220058

Have we started to move into Protest and take a stand  to pressure Politics. The most extreme elements of those, drunk on power, are working hard against the belief that we are all members of One Global Family.

What is the chance that those of us who stand for our American Constitutional Right To Privacy? Personal right to a private life and private communication, which is a building block of real democracy must find a leader as Bayard Rustin was.

IMG_20130811_220459

Goodness is normal, caring about other people is right, and the natural normal aspect of our evolution, to walking upright on two feet: bipededness

Is there any one reading this who is completely against and ready to stand up against the kind of Big Government that passes laws which currently condone mass surveillance, penalize both legitimate protest and dissent, using the News Media they own, issuing a flood of bad press against all organizing including the Occupy Movement platforms?

IMG_20111104_163540

The ability of people to move into the landscape of life by moving into the the light, the light in the world and there is a light at the end of the tunnel is essential for life itself. I am ready to make this assent. I believe that now is the time to gather together and walk peacefully together functioning and acting as the Heart of Our Country.

The Grover Norqust Gang is actively working to suppress and ignore our Constitutional checks and balances. Not one of the American citizens voted or elected this man. His group are funded and backed by big corporations in concert with wrong military minds, and bought politicians intervening world wide. Grover Norquist orchestrated the Iran/Contra, by funding Oliver North! Norquist has designed programs which have taken over our Congress.

Where is Thomas Paine? He emigrated to the British American colonies in 1774 with the help of Benjamin Franklin! Where is a man with the character and cash of the likes of Benjamin Franklin NOW?  Paine had the good fortune and timing to arrive in time to participate in the American Revolution. His contribution was the powerful, widely read pamphlet Common Sense (1776), the all-time best-selling American book that advocated colonial America’s independence.

Where are the powerful intelligent peacemakers hiding? I hope to, by this post, to draw out men to serve simply and simply serve.  In the way Rustin served as an unidentified member of the American Friends Service Committee‘s task force to write “Speak Truth to Power: A Quaker Search for an Alternative to Violence,” published in 1955. This was one of the most influential and widely commented upon pacifist essays in the United States. Rustin was a member of the New York City Fifteenth Street Meeting of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers).  He traveled widely in service to peace. Can we look to the Quaker’s for resistance and leadership?

Guardian Mayonnaise: Elect Greenwald

Glen Greenwald, I want to thank you….

I want you to know that I support your work to stop the fake security masking truth. Thank you for publishing the stories about Prism and the other sweeping privacy invasion.

Please…Let me know how I can with my one individual action join with all those who are wanting to reach critical mass. Together, Mr. Greenwald, help us get together to stop the global Tyranny. Let our American Government know that what Obama has done and continues to do that ignores Several Amendments of the Constitution.  Our Founding Fathers wrote the constitution to assure individual and group civil rights and boundaries to freedom.

I do not want to wonder why almost all the elected officials are listening to my life. I am unhappy that my President and all government servants feel it is ok to catch my every key stroke, every whisper, and every movement I make.

Bradley Manning must be released from prison. It is time that the Nobel Award Representatives award Private Manning for having the courage to let all world citizens that they are being watched in a totally illegal way.

Now is the time for the infinite power of creativity generated by privacy and personal freedom.

The Many and The Totality

What comes to mind when you relax and wonder what our culture has become? We are Many people who have lost the sense of our Totality.

Four days ago I went to the Doctor. He was busy. I want to believe that he was listening to my needs but when I came to get the referrals to the various specialists the referral director told me that I could not get my needed referrals because the Doctor wrote the request on the wrong form. I was struck silent. What business was it to me? It was so unprofessional. I was made to feel that I Had Done Something Wrong! The woman was nasty to me at the Medical Professional Office!

I came back the next day and was told, rather than asked, ‘Why do you need the referral, are You going to make the appointment yourself!?’ She was visibly surprised when I said of course I would and could make my own appointment.  When I contacted the service I needed the referred paper work, I was told that the paperwork was not complete.

I called the medical office to get a correction and was told that the doctor would not change the referral to include all the conditions I was asking for attention, but that the Doctor would send out all the notes of my examination. This sending out of my diagnose was going to be sent only after I said that the professional office called me to get the referral changed.

I had to have three days of heightened attention to get service from this doctors office.

My prescriptions needed to have a back and forth returned phone call to be filled, yet the doctors office did not do this for several days. I had to make repeated visits back and forth to the doctor and back to the pharmacy for three days before I actually got my medicine. Finally I called the doctors office from the pharmacy and the medical nurse sounded angry and put me on hold. I was put on hold for such a long time that my mobile phone lost energy and shut off.

This just drained my energy and turned my happy out look about medical attention into sadness. This is such a drain of energy to get help for myself and so many people. I have so little energy since my illness and this energy was wasted by the support staff of this primary care doctor. I can’t be the only one who is actually being mistreated in this practice, in my town, in my county, in my state, and out through the entire country, out to every nation on our globe.

There are many people who have to rely on a Primary Care Doctor to get treatment for conditions that all Primary Doctor are not trained to preform. We are a target in a shooting practice that yet again separates those with cash from those who depend on various levels of Health Insurance.

Monsanto now has immunity against being responsible for the health issues that the genetically modified seeds are causing. The victim is becoming the enemy.

My illness is caused by inflammation disease that cascades to include the serious illnesses of our modern era. Heart disease, Cancer, Diabetes, Colitis, Arthritis, and other illnesses are related to the digestive unbalance from unnatural DNA in the food sources. Stress creates more illness. My Stress participated in my illness. I cannot get well if I am continuously under stress from unprofessional emotional interactions with care professionals! Sigh…

The crises in the primary care system is very deeply intrenched. Primary Care Doctors continue to make health care a heavy lifting effort in many cases. Doctors themselves are allowing this to go on and on. The medical system has lost sight of the Totality of Humanity. The system is broken and people are dieing. Doctors are either overworked or under trained. I do not know how I am going to deal with this. I am one link in the totality of Humanity. This gives me strength to tell my sad story of the last four days. I was called by the practice manager /director who apologized to me because of the terribly sub standard service and care I received. I never shouted at any of the unprofessional employees. I used so much strength just to get my prescriptions and referrals that one of the office managers asked the Director to call me! Is this what I have to jump through to get medical attention? If you are having a hard time with your health care would you please send me a posting in the high hopes that we can reach critical mass and change the system.

Love is the glue which holds the Many in a vibrant Totality

Serve America: VOTE 2012

Do YOU want to bring back Bolton and the Neo Con Horde?

The End of truth as we have known it Fox News Commentator, John Bolton, would be one of the team. Remember the Group who brought general destruction of our International Stature, (as an exemplary nation), our Privacy, with The Patriot Act leashing out unjust behavior toward all Individuals, and financial debacle world wide for all but the top .001%

John Bolton is a neoconservative!  often equating diplomacy with weakness and indecisiveness. The Neoconservatives want War. That is where they make their money.

There is a conflict between the very rich and the very, very rich with those stratospheric billionaires who are purchasing Governments.

I remembering being a member of a Political Theater Group who dressed up and went to stump speeches called the Billionaires For Bush. Where did I put my extra stickers?

Billionaires for Bush is a culture jamming political street theater organization that satirically purports to support George W. Bush for those activities which are perceived to benefit corporations and the super-wealthy. A secret New York City Police Department intelligence report based on undercover surveillance of the group in 2003 and 2004 in advance of the 2004 Republican National Convention in New York City, described the Billionaires as “an activist group forged as a mockery of the current president and political policies.

They wore conservative jackets and ties (but no bowler hats, etc.) and carried innocuous signs such as “Run, Steve, Run.” Happy to have grass-roots support, the Forbes handlers (who believed the Billionaires were students from a nearby business school) placed them in front of the cameras, very near to the podium from which Forbes was speaking. However, each of their signs had another sign behind it. And behind their banner (which read “Forbes 2000: He wants YOU to win”) was another banner, waiting. At the most dramatic moment of his announcement, the Billionaires flipped their signs, and pulled away the large banner to reveal one which read: “Billionaires for Forbes: Because Inequality isn’t Growing Fast Enough.” The Billionaires started chanting “Let workers pay the tax so investors can relax!” and other slogans. Forbes and his handlers were completely thrown off, a little tussle ensued, and the Billionaires were pushed off to the side away from the cameras. Not wanting to miss the action, half the TV crews left the Forbes speech to cover the Billionaires. The action got lots of coverage.

John Bolton was pushed into the United Nations Position by the Right Wing. Bolton resigned before the end of his term because he was unlikely to win confirmation from the balanced Senate.

The Romney supporters want to remove The United States from it’s prominent place within the family of global community in The United Nations. Beware Citizens!

Yesterday, I heard a conversation wafting above the high fence around the University skateboard park. I live 25 yards from the sound of the rolling wheels and happy masculine conversation. It is a special atmosphere where skateboarders’ can escape being watched and recharge. It was not usual to hear political conversation. It happened on that day that one young man said to the dozen or so assembled: If you do not Vote, it is a Vote for Romney. Take Care you know what you are doing. He insisted that his friends Get out and VOTE. Go to your local City Hall and vote early. This way you can be assured that Your Vote Will Be Counted.

Occupy Wall Street 2012

I watched with Horror, the brutality of the Police on the people protesting the United States Oligarchy at the Occupy Wall Street site at the square in NYC this evening. How can our elected officials act against our very own American Constitution?

Do Not allow advertising sway your mind. Do your research. Are you living the Majesty of the religion you profess or are you not in the mind and body of TRUTH. We are all connected via Love. If One of us, one of the least able, is not helped We Are All Diminished.

Iran is a beautiful country with a great culture. Who thinks that starting a conflict with arms is going to help anyone ?

Where is our MUSIC? How can the 99% Mobilize without a common organizing song? What happened to the Social Change Movement when the Police are allowed to beat peaceful protesters at Occupy Movements?

Can We Gather Again?

We do not make demands from governments, corporations or parliament members, which some of us see as illegitimate, unaccountable or corrupt. We speak to the people of the world, both inside and outside our movements.

We want another world, and such a world is possible:

1. The economy must be put to the service of people’s welfare, and to support and serve the environment, not private profit. We want a system where labour is appreciated by its social utility, not its financial or commercial profit. Therefore, we demand:

• Free and universal access to health, education from primary school through higher education and housing for all human beings. We reject outright the privatisation of public services management, and the use of these essential services for private profit.

• Full respect for children’s rights, including free childcare for everyone.

• Retirement/pension so we may have dignity at all ages. Mandatory universal sick leave and holiday pay.

• Every human being should have access to an adequate income for their livelihood, so we ask for work or, alternatively, universal basic income guarantee.

• Corporations should be held accountable to their actions. For example, corporate subsidies and tax cuts should be done away with if said company outsources jobs to decrease salaries, violates the environment or the rights of workers.

• Apart from bread, we want roses. Everyone has the right to enjoy culture, participate in a creative and enriching leisure at the service of the progress of humankind. Therefore, we demand the progressive reduction of working hours, without reducing income.

• Food sovereignty through sustainable farming should be promoted as an instrument of food security for the benefit of all. This should include an indefinite moratorium on the production and marketing of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and immediate reduction of agrochemicals use.

• We demand policies that function under the understanding that our changing patterns of life should be organic/ecologic or should never be. These policies should be based on a simple rule: one should not spoil the balance of ecosystems for simple profit. Violations of this policy should be prosecuted around the world as an environmental crime, with severe sanctions for those convicted.

• Policies to promote the change from fossil fuels to renewable energy, through massive investment which should help to change the production model.

• We demand the creation of international environmental standards, mandatory for countries, companies, corporations, and individuals. Ecocide (wilful damage to the environment, ecosystems, biodiversity) should be internationally recognised as a crime of the greatest magnitude.

2. To achieve these objectives, we believe that the economy should be run democratically at all levels, from local to global. People must get democratic control over financial institutions, transnational corporations and their lobbies. To this end, we demand:

• Control and regulation of financial speculation by abolishing tax havens, and establishing a Financial Transaction Tax (FTT). As long as they exist, the IMF, World Bank and the Basel Committee on Banking Regulation must be radically democratised. Their duty from now on should be fostering economic development based on democratic decision making. Rich governments cannot have more votes because they are rich. International institutions must be controlled by the principle that each human is equal to all other humans – African, Argentinian or American; Greek or German.

• As long as they exist, radical reform and democratisation of the global trading system and the World Trade Organization must take place. Commercialisation of life and resources, as well as wage and trade dumping between countries must stop.

• We want democratic control of the global commons, defined as the natural resources and economic institutions essential for a proper economic management. These commons are: water, energy, air, telecommunications and a fair and stable economic system. In all these cases, decisions must be accountable to citizens and ensure their interests, not the interests of a small minority of financial elite.

• As long as social inequalities exist, taxation at all levels should maintain the principle of solidarity. Those who have more should contribute to maintain services for the collective welfare. Maximum income should be limited, and minimum income set to reduce the outrageous social divisions in our societies and its social political and economic effects.

• No more money to rescue banks. As long as debt exists, following the examples of Ecuador and Iceland, we demand a social audit of the debts owed by countries. Illegitimate debt owed to financial institutions should not be paid.

• An absolute end to fiscal austerity policies that only benefit a minority, and cause great suffering to the majority.

• As long as banks exist, separation of commercial and financial banks, avoiding banks that are “too big to fail”.

• An end to the legal personhood of corporations. Companies cannot be elevated to the same level of rights as people. The public’s right to protect workers, citizens and the environment should prevail over the protections of private property or investment.

3. We believe that political systems must be fully democratic. We therefore demand full democratisation of international institutions, and the elimination of the veto power of a few governments. We want a political system which really represent the variety and diversity of our societies:

• All decisions affecting all mankind should be taken in democratic forums like a participatory and direct UN parliamentary assembly or a UN people’s assembly, not rich clubs such as G20 or G8.

• At all levels we ask for the development of a democracy that is as participatory as possible, including non representative direct democracy .

• As long as they are practised, electoral systems should be as fair and representative as possible, avoiding biases that distort the principle of proportionality.

• We call for the democratisation of access and management of media. These should serve to educate the public, as opposed to the creation of an artificial consensus about unjust policies.

• We ask for democracy in companies and corporations. Workers, despite wage level or gender, should have real decision-making power in the companies and corporations they work in. We want to promote co-operative companies and corporations, as real democratic economic institutions.

• Zero tolerance of corruption in economic policy. We must stop the excessive influence of big business in politics, which is today a major threat to true democracy.

• We demand complete freedom of expression, assembly and demonstration, as well as the cessation of attempts to censor the internet.

• We demand respect for privacy rights on and off the internet. Companies and the government should not engage in data mining.

• We believe that military spending is politically counterproductive to a society’s advance, so we demand its reduction to a minimum.

• Ethnic, cultural and sexual minorities should have their civil, cultural, political and economic rights fully recognised.

• Some of us believe a new Universal Declaration of Human Rights, fit for the 21st century, written in a participatory, direct and democratic way, needs to be written. As long as the current Declaration of Human Rights defines our rights, it must be enforced in relation to all – in both rich and poor countries. Implementing institutions that force compliance and penalise violators need to be established, such as a global court to prosecute social, economic and environmental crimes perpetrated by governments, corporations and individuals. At all levels, local, national, regional and global, new constitutions for political institutions need to be considered, as in Iceland or in some Latin American countries. Justice and law must work for all, otherwise justice is not justice, and law is not law.

Slowly heating up in the War Caldron, we are all being cooked! The HEAT of WAR, which is removing all the vitality from America and many Western countries must be turned off. The people are losing their livelihood and in many cases actually losing their lives. Head Injuries is marginalizing more young men who will not recover fully. How are we allowing this to happen?

Some few are getting rich while the children of the working class and middle class are being killed or injured beyond repair in a meaningless war searching for Mass Destruction. I feel our government is the Mass Destroyer.

Forbes posted a long very good article on the coming confrontation of the consumers and the Oligarchy” http://www.forbes.com/sites/johntharvey/2012/07/01/texas-gop-platform/

“The Texas Republican Party Platform also argues that, lower business taxes and deregulation will solve our jobs problem. This is false. What we really need is increased demand, which comes via consumers. In addition, they believe that the Federal Reserve system should be abolished and that the US should return to the gold standard” ~ Forbes

The Terrifying Texas GOP Platform

“I named this blog Pragmatic Economics in part because of my desire to avoid politics. That’s why my tag line is, “I want to explain how things work, not what you should believe.” However, I am so distressed by the 2012 platform released by the Texas Republican Party that I find it impossible not to comment. While I am hardly in agreement with everything forwarded by the Democrats (and have taken aim at President Obama on a number of occasions, especially with respect to his desire to balance the federal budget), it is difficult to believe that what the Republicans put together during their convention in Fort Worth was even written in the 21st century. It is anything but pragmatic.

The document (available here) has already made headlines with the portion that opposes the “teaching of Higher Order Thinking Skills” and “critical thinking skills.” Although a partial retraction followed, this was in terms of the wording, not the general meaning. It appears that their fear is that these “focus on behavior modification and have the purpose of challenging the student’s fixed beliefs and undermining parental authority.” Think about that for a moment. First off, do they really and truly believe that teachers and school boards across the State of Texas are designing curricula specifically aimed at training children to challenge their parents? Second, do you know which values and concepts are rejected in the absence of higher order and critical thinking? None! Therefore, depending on the time and place when we decide to stop challenging ideas and meekly accept what we are told, we might thereafter and forever be racists, sexists, communists, fascists, democrats, capitalists, Christians, Buddhists, Lutherans, geocentrists, pacifists, Wiccans, or whatever the prevailing views of that day were. Nothing would ever again be questioned. Were we to implement such a policy, we’d have to be certain that we had already identified the concepts and values that were “correct” (whatever that really means). Even a cursory reading of their platform makes it very clear that this is precisely what Texas Republicans believe and what those concepts and values are. This begs the question, who is really aiming to force their beliefs on our children, Texas schools or Texas Republicans? Personally, I prefer what I learned during my twelve years of Catholic school and eight years of public higher education: if a belief cannot stand up to scrutiny, then we shouldn’t believe it; and if it does, we will hold it all the more strongly for the very reason that it withstood our challenge.

Another disturbing feature of the document is that while they “urge the Legislature to direct expenditures to academics as the first priority,” they also contend that “Since data is (sic) clear that additional money does not translate into educational achievement, and higher education costs are out of control, we support reducing taxpayer funding to all levels of education institutions” (emphasis added). Not only is the second statement inconsistent with the first (not to mention rather frightening), it isn’t true. The implications of the data are far from clear. In point of fact, economists have found that–not surprisingly–it matters how the money is spent (see here for a survey of the relevant literature). For example, reducing class sizes and adding remedial help appear to be particularly cost effective. Thus, contrary to the Texas GOP’s assertion, there are programs that both add to costs AND increase educational achievement. Furthermore, the most significant finding in the literature over the years has been that teacher quality is the absolute, number one factor driving student attainment. Surely the Texas GOP is not arguing that higher salaries would not tend to attract higher quality teachers or that funds for training and apprenticeship would not be well spent? The bottom line is, the actual evidence flies in the face of their claim that the research shows unequivocally that there is no connection between funding and outcomes. It simply isn’t true. A cynic might be tempted to conclude that the real goal of the Texas Republican Party is simply to find a means of circumventing Article VII of the Texas Constitution, requiring the State to “establish and make suitable provision for the support and maintenance of an efficient system of public free schools” (wherein, according to the Texas Supreme Court in Edgewood ISD vs. Kirby, efficient is not equivalent to “economical,” “inexpensive,” or “cheap”). I hope that’s not the case.

The economic policies recommended by the document are equally impractical and ill-considered. Bearing in mind that the fundamental problem faced in an advanced capitalist economy is insufficient demand to generate employment for all those willing to work (see Why Do Recessions Happen?), the following recommendations would operate to make this problem even worse:

• We urge state and federal legislators to reduce spending.

• We urge Congress to adopt balanced budgets by cutting spending and not increasing tax rates.

• We recommend repeal of the Sixteenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, with the goal of abolishing the I.R.S and replacing it with a national sales tax collected by the States. In the interim we urge the income tax be changed to a flatter, broader, lower tax with only minimal exemptions such as home mortgage interest deductions.

• We favor abolishing the capital gains tax.

• State Tax Reform – We encourage: Abolishing property taxes…Shifting the tax burden to a consumption-based tax

The first two would directly reduce the demand for goods and services, thus causing contraction and unemployment, while the last three would create a much more regressive tax system that shifted the burden onto the sector of the economy that would otherwise generate the highest level of demand per dollar of income: the poor and middle class (the top 20% of Americans spend 62% of their income, as compared to 87% for the rest).” ~Forbes

Our Freedom of speech, address, and congregation has been removed under the mirage of ‘Safety’!

I cannot go to another state of My Country without being subjected to a complete search and affront by being touched by strangers on my skin. I am sure there is footage of my ‘search’.

There are listening machines on every corner in my home town.

We are living in a world controlled by forces incapable of giving freedom and dignity to the world’s population. A world where we are told “there is no alternative” to the loss of rights gained through the long, hard struggles of our ancestors, and where success is defined in opposition to the most fundamental values of humanity, such as solidarity and mutual support.

Moreover, anything that does not promote competitiveness, selfishness and greed is seen as dysfunctional.

Romney: What Are You Thinking? Seventh Inning Song!

Horse Ballet:  http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/06/20/stephen-colbert-declares-horse-dancing-summer-sport_n_1612896.html

I can only imagine that the so called ‘closeness’ of the contest in our American presidential run off as litmus test showing the true racism across our country. The numbers must be a reflection of how many people cannot imagine a Black Man Doing so well as our leader. When Obama came into office our reputation around the world was in the pig stye. Obama behaving with respect to all people living on our one globe, lifted our country. We are cash flow strained but politically balanced. I am afraid that the behavior of Romney during his travels has spit out gaffs with a rudeness unparallelled in this century.

All the tooty-fruity about Romney as governor is a bunch of crap. HE WAS NOT A GOOD GOVERNOR AND IS NOT RESPECTED EITHER AS A CONSERVATIVE OR A LIBERAL Romney spent less than a  year in Massachusetts and the other three years in South and North Carolina planning this run for President. He was a horrid Governor.  Ask any Massachusetts resident, either Republican or Democrat.

Telling the British that their Olympics were not good enough! Again in his comments in Israel, he sparked conflict with both the Jews and the other various nationalities living on that strip of desert in the volatile Middle East. Then his prancing misplaced words in Poland spells international difficulty! I and many people I know, had an OMG! Moment. Romney is not able to lead our country. He would not grow our reputation in the world community. He will not care for the core American Values. How is this man a representative of the Republican Party?

Is the Romney run supported by Grover Norquist? Who gave Norquist all this power? And how can we bring Norquist down to the peoples level? I want a full on government investigation into his arm twisting which is hurting the country as a whole. After the 60 Minutes show how is Norquist able to still be afloat? Is the Legislative branch of our government in a straight jacket?

Today Gore Vidal, October 3, 1925 – July 31, 2012),  passed out of his human skin and into the universal goodness. He was Proud to be called a Liberal.

Gore Vidal, the author, playwright, politician and commentator whose novels, essays, plays and opinions were stamped by his immodest wit and unconventional wisdom, died today  I became the person I now am, the way I think, how I behave, and what I believe because of the perspective given to me via Gore Vidal’s writing and speaking. I am a woman who is concentrating on conquering herself. This woman is Invincible!  I truly believe that when I am working on my behavior, both thoughts and actions, I am a light in the world. What is there to believe?  I used to be an atheist but I don’t not believe in it anymore.   There are so many Super Stars to look at on the outside of my protective skin, that it is impossible to choose anyone outside of my guiding principle. I am what I am because of who I am on the inside. Inside  on the outward facet is the journey that has no goal.

Today, on the public radio station, the thoughts that he, Gore Vidal, and I share, were Nationally aired.  The truth was never compromised as this mental giant called it like it IS. I remember the evening when I was no longer welcome to attend the local San Francisco Bay Area Mensa meeting because of what I said about Timothy McVeigh.  Even highly intelligent people can be deafened by the incessant pounding of sound bites. Today on my radio I hear my thoughts, what I believed motivated Timothy, to take a stand against the government and tell the truth about what was going on in Oklahoma City. It is an event clothed with honor as a proud courageous act of public resistance. Gore Vidal thought  and spoke fearlessly to show his character.  He was a Great Man.  He certainly was credible about Oklahoma because he chose to be called Gore in honor of his maternal grandfather, Thomas Gore, Democratic senator from Oklahoma.

Vidal formed his most unusual bond with Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh. The two exchanged letters after Vidal’s 1998 article in Vanity Fair on “the shredding” of the Bill of Rights and their friendship inspired Edmund White’s play “Terre Haute.”

“He’s very intelligent. He’s not insane,” Vidal said of McVeigh in a 2001 interview.

Timothy McVeigh stepped out and stood up to the Industrial Military Complex Info-Entertainment fog to expose the place where American citizens struggle with and against a Oligarchy/Plutocracy that collects private information about everyone of the citizens. ( A form of government which consists of rule by an elite group who rule in their own interests, especially the accumulation of wealth and privilege. Only certain members of society have a valid voice in the government. This can reflect (but is not limited to) economic interests, a particular religious tradition, or familial rule) .The Staci was liberal compared to the National Federal Patriot Police.

If Gore Vidal can have his opinion broadcast then do I also have this freedom of speech? Engineered danger by the local government is controlled by those with money to buy power. Gore Vidal lived inside the inner circles. He was a role model for me from the time I was a young adult teenager.  He was the smartest man on the planet. The last of the great free thinking intellectuals.

The Fourth Amendment

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

The Fourth Amendment Defined:

Like the majority of fields within American law, the Fourth Amendment is heavily rooted in the English legal doctrine. In a general sense, the Fourth Amendment was created to limit the power of the government and their ability to enforce legal actions on individuals. The Fourth Amendment was adopted as a direct response to the abuse of the writ of assistance, which was a type of general search warrant used by the government during the American Revolution. The Amendment was created to limit the powers of the law enforcement agency who is conducting a search of an individual’s personal property.

The Fourth Amendment is a part of the Bill of Rights, which are the first 10 Amendments to the United States Constitution and the framework to elucidate upon the freedoms of the individual. The Bill of Rights were proposed and sent to the states by the first session of the First Congress. They were later ratified on December 15, 1791.

The first 10 Amendments to the United States Constitution were introduced by James Madison as a series of legislative articles and came into effect as Constitutional Amendments following the process of ratification by three-fourths of the States on December 15, 1791.

Stipulations of the 4th Amendment

The Fourth Amendment guards against the government’s ability to conduct unreasonable search and seizures when the individual party being searched has a “reasonable exception of privacy.”

The Fourth Amendment specifically requires a law enforcement agency to possess judicially sanctioned search and arrest warrants, which are supported by probable clause, to be administered before a person’s property can be inspected.

The Fourth Amendment ties in numerous limitations whereby an individual may be searched without a warrant given the presence of certain circumstances. The individual’s property may be searched and seized if: The individual is on parole or in a tax hearing, faces deportation, the evidence is seized from a common carrier, the evidence is collected by U.S. customs agents, the evidence is seized by probation officers, the evidence is seized outside of the United States, or probable cause is evident.

Court Cases tied into the 4th Amendment

In Mapp v. Ohio, the Supreme Court ruled that the Fourth Amendment is enforceable and should be applied to all states in the Union by way of the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. Additionally, the Supreme Court ruled that certain searches and seizures were in direct violation of the Fourth Amendment even when a warrant was properly issued to the coordinating law enforcement agencies.
